SUGAR BEETS
I am happy to present this picture of a field of Sugar Beets maturing in the winter sun in Imperial Valley. Ena,here is the photo you requested that I include to compliment my beginning photo of the Sugar Beet processing plant,last month. Beets are planted here in August and September, and harvested April through July.

Sugar Beets have white roots, and take 8-9 months to mature. They are also much larger than table beets. The red garden varities mature in in about 3 months
